About PS3 20GB:

The PS3 comes in two different versions.  They are named the 20GB version and 60GB version, but hard drive space is not all that’s different about the two.  The 20GB version has no memory card slot while the 60GB one have memory Stick/SD/Compact Flash reader. The games will use a hard drive to save game and load times will be around two to three seconds.

  • These two versions both come with USB ports so users can just plug a card reader in.
  • 20GB version of the playStation 3 will come with one Ethernet port but Wi-Fi is not included in the 20 GB version but this can be easily overcome as we would probably be able to change the hard drive, and USB card readers and Wi-Fi dongles are available.
  • 20GB version is lack of HDMI because of that the PS3 20GB users can not be able to watch Blu-ray movies because a HDMI connector will be the only way to encrypt and decrypt HD Movie on a Blu-ray disc. But these exclusions are available as accessories.
  • The price of the 20GB and 60 GB models are set at US$499 and US$599 respectively.
  • Still PS3 20GB version does support 1080p resolutions through its component- video outputs. So, if you can’t get the HDMI versions, not all is lost. It’s possible that gaming software providers and Blu-ray movie creators will use copy-protections system to lower the resolution available on the component-video outputs. Because there’s is no way of keeping those analog outputs from being copied as there is with HDMI outputs.
