Motorcycle rider training
Racing a motorcycle is undoubtedly one of the most exciting but demanding experiences, and requires great dedication along with a high level of ability.
Similar to driver’s education for car drivers, Motorcycle rider training teaches motorcycle riders the skills for riding on public roads. Popularly known as Compulsory basic training, motorcycle rider training is mandatory in Europe and many other places. Over the years it has helped in reducing the number of crashes and the severity of injuries.
Various schools and organizations provide motorcycle rider training for beginners and even experienced riders seeking to develop their skills. Under the guidance of trained instructors, the training encompasses various on road as well as off road classes including braking techniques, steering, accident avoidance, a slalom course, cornering styles, road hazard maneuvering , low-speed maneuvering, exercises such as riding position, braking, slalom, stopping on a hill, recovery from a hill, hill climb and descent and riding ruts and logs,etc.
There are several motorcycle rider training classes ranging from beginners, intermediate and advanced designed for riders with different needs and focus on improving skills such as Control at low speeds, Limited space maneuvers, Risk management, Cornering judgment, multiple curve maneuvers and surmounting objects
Such classes aim at enhancing the levels of mental and physical skills required for maximum performance and enjoyment while riding. In accordance with the state laws, the trainees are granted their motorcycle license, along with the reduction in their insurance premiums, on the completion of the motorcycle rider training.
