Macromedia Flash Tutorial: Playing with Sound Settings

How to Import a Sound ?

Be it any type of Flash movies, you can always import objects to add in your movie or videos and make use of it whenever your mood suits. But to be moody enough you should notify Flash as to when use it with your own liberty. With the help of library where every object is stored, you can select the desired sound item of your choice.

Sound Properties Panel
Modifying sound is very easy with properties panel box. To do this you need to click on any frame of the movie. Within no time the properties panel box opens up possessing the following look.

Let us discuss the options that are bestowed by this panel.

  • It has a sound tab which displays the imported songs. You can select any song in particular to add to the movie.
  • There is an option of activating effects to your sound such as 3D effect or surrounding sound effect, wavy sound effect or any other complex sound effects.
  • Synchronization is also provided by this panel where we can match the sound with an unwavering event. This comes with start, stop, repeat and streaming options.


Ways of Inserting a Sound

Basically you can add sounds in two ways. First one deals with the library where you pick it in the library and pull it over the stage. Soon the sound will be added to opened frame.
Other way you can pick the sound from the properties panel that has been already imported to the library.

Editing: Personalization
A personalize sound panel looks like below.

The left channel is shown at the top and the right channel is at bottom. There is a duration set up for each of the parts which hint at the time of sound elapsed at each node.
The volume of sound is represented by gray lines clicking which you can well configure the volume.
